Even though the fabrics seem too warm for a Greek HOT summer, some pieces it was hard for me to resist to, especially the cut-out denim one.

CONTROVERSIAL SHOW!!!
...can't say I left the room astonished, yet now that I am checking out the pics, I gotta admit I was kinda harsh with the ULTIMATELY CUTE designer duo (or have I simply photographed the ones that fitted my taste? ..DUNNO!) .
The minimalistic plain pieces were quirky enough for me, some feathery stuff though I didn't like at all!
Quite weird since in the past I fell for several MI-RO collections
(especially the SS 2008 with all the fluorescent garments...)

I SUCKED IN GEOMETRYI BLAME it on MY TUTOR ...If he really meant to teach me the length of a segment whose endpoints are the vertex (& other math-shit), he should have brought me one of these dresses to analyse!Beyond any of my usual jokes, I gotta admit it's very hard for a DElight collection to let me down.The whole thing was quite arty, it actually reminded me of Warhol's "Composition With Yellow, Red, Black, Blue, and Grey" + the pieces were all wearable. ...in fact I only passed by techopolis @Gazi (where the Greek fashion week takes place) just to grab my precious pass and hit the road
YET chit-chatting with fellow bloggers made time pass in a snap
...and then it was time for Kotentos show.

Although I'm not quite a fan, I gotta admit he caught me off guard with the whole catwalk setting and music.
As for the clothes, I loved the geometric shapes & the graphic tights but some glittery details could have been avoided.
I also enjoyed the cartoony sky-high heels, & the betting on whether the next model will fall or not.

Past week, for example, was all about playing.
Bloggers had a play-date down at Stylewatch's Fashion Playground.

Been asked to participate I was anticipating real game-playing:
hide&seek, wearing couture to support the -FASHION- aspect of that playground, for instance!

I did another short of playing though that I am quite familiar with.
PLAYING WITH COLORS has always been my thing yet I've never actually experimented on fabric.
7 Levis t-shirts(and a last minute one during the event) were customized BY ME using textile appropriate colors and markers.

Yesterday I bumped into a fellow f-blogger twitting that she is dreaming of Anna Wintour already knowing her name when they'll meet!
That twit made my hopes of running into Gala Gonzalez & Pelayo shopping around @ TOPSHOP, while in my latest trip to London, seem quite humble..!

In that try, I spent -hours- walking around TOPSHOP,
yet I am telling ya...
I saw Gala & Pelayo...NOT!

HOWEVER, Sunday's Spitafield Market had a surprise hidden for me that caught me totally unaware & made my mind boggles.
Cute Michelle founder of Goldie London was standing next to me among all those cute(slash)sexy clothes of hers!

Having checked THAT & THAT I forgot all about me being extremely shy and I actually talked to her, claiming that I saw her in Gala's blog!
(Apparently quite some people approached her with the same excuse that day!)

Overall she was the cutest + she wrote down my e-mail to inform me about up-coming sales in her site (she DOES ship to Greece).

Didn't lose the chance myself to snatch the black one in the pic (which BTW I am in love with) and I quite regret not getting more.

Tyra was good for all those years but when a well established show is being relocated to Greece then all the drama multiplies to extensive amounts (yey).

Lover of drama myself, worshiped the show and immediately RSVPed to a catwalk including the upcoming models, even if the clothes weren't exactly my taste.
If it wasn't for T. Sofroniou's edgy styling, I wouldn't have enjoyed the show as much!

I guess this post won't be rather interesting to international readers but I'm hoping the local-ones will find it rather amusing seeing those girls in action!

OK, I've been busting balls that I love anything cartoon-ish, & yesterday it just hit me that I've never actually posted anything of mine (except from THAT little -sad- example).

Weird thing though..going through my doodles I found very few of them being ''fashion appropriate'', probably because I mostly draw when angry since this my cute way of getting away with offending people!
(came to realize that people love seeing themselves drawn, even if the context isn't quite flattering).

In Spitalfields, I've also fallen for those plastic scissors, which my friend THE ROBOT decided to open, & unfort. my beloved pendant end up broken.
There are no hard feelings whatsoever cause we looove THE sweet ROBOT.

Having decided to make full use of my current wardrobe, and SLIGHTLY (...who am I kidding?) cut down on my shopping expenses, I dug those last year beauties out of my closet, and actually wore them without considering them way too ''PASSE''

Wearing something ...2008 , made it mandatory to combine something VERY 2009 with it!
Shoulder pads may be more 1980 than 2009, yet with them being OVERUSED in most catwalks I couldn't but love them all over again, and find new respect for what it has been characterized ''Fashion Crime'' in the past!

Harking back to the 1980s the look has the added advantage of whittling waists and hips by balancing
out the silhouette.

Celebrities have been quick to embrace the trend!
Early adopters include Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Beyoncé and Rihanna, who have all worn Balmain versions.

I am already in love with my padded blazer on the left, and I got myself a shirt as well!

...a huge flood formed in the area were fashion week runs all the events, it's nothing to worry about.
Instead, you may bring your floating octopus with ya, and play around with it!
ESPECIALLY if you're a designer on the verge of a nervous breakdown because of the upcoming show!

DElight brought those DElighted tentacles backstage, and I embraced it!
....well you know me, total sucker for anything childish!

Octopus was skinnier than the models at the beginning...

& carbohydrates started entering its body slowly...

the designer-duo did their best to make it look healthier...

& here it is chubbier than ever...

Floating peacefully in the middle of the flood , contemplating why the hell women obsess so much about their weight, & admiring his gorgeous/brand new/chubby tentacles!

Too bad those fashion-week people totally disregard the kid inside them, and they've immediately put poor DEL-octopus in detention!
The kid inside wasn't the only one disregarded by them though , the flood was too....

One kaleidoscope & two fresh designers

-SUCCESS GRANTED-

...from me at least, ( and most fellow bloggers) being quite familiar with that item with a kaleidoscope enthusiast-mom, owing many of those.

Kaleidoscopes come in various color combination and DElight (the designer duo in
question) used my favorite one - PASTELS!

Baby pink, baby blue and all those UNDERAGED colors made their clothes delicious & me -way too eager- to waste all my money on them
(though WASTE is the most inappropriate word to use)

Once again I was backstage with my blogger friends, missing the actual show, yet being able to see up-close, touch & feel the clothes, which for me is far more important!
Dressing up the models wasn't bad either, Barbie addicts like me would agree that it was exactly like playing with dolls!

The collection: colorful, playful ... full in all aspect!
I hate cliche phrases yet...I WANT THEM ALL!

Nope, fashion bloggers didn't found their own company even though UFB's initials could have been a nice name for our next step as bloggers in the fashion industry (United Fashion Bloggers)
...UFB actually stands for
United Fashion Brands
...and it was the destination of our little bloggo-field trip last Saturday!

UFB is a fashion merchandising company in charge of several fashion brands mainly distributed though MORE&MORE stores in Greece.
In those stores you may find a variety of brands & different styles as the company's clothes pretty much cover all age groups and styles!

THE BUILDING, and bloggers playing around with their digitals (RARE!)

Tell me to go there every morning and I will fall in love with my alarm clock!

...as you can see, visiting its headquarters was a bliss, since me and my fellow blogger Hari K. from Soho Symposium had the chance to check out all the showrooms (...and they were many!) and check out collections that haven't even reached the market yet!
The company's manager, I AM TELLING YA, must be a very patient person, since we were going manic in view of several passion items!
In anyway, I loved the trip!
The opportunity to come closer to the industry I worship & visualize how it works was priceless

....OK , it was about time I explained the name of my blog...!

Although it sounds much like it, it has nothing to do with teen movies, or gossip girl! In fact I have never been the "Queen Bee" in real life. Being bitchy & peer pressuring -desperate to fit in- followers, wasn't my thing.
I've always thought the word "bee" to be cute (..along with "cherry" yet that went down the drain for being too cliche), to the point that I was thinking of writing a comic called "The pozerBEES" (..down the drain as well).
Some years later when I created my facebook account I decided to write my full name, but only the first letter of my last name, B.
And the weirdest thing happened, everyone started calling me B. !!!
That, and me being a word-game manic, gave birth to that silly blog name!
+ no matter how I despise bees buzzing around me, there's something very graphic about those creatures, sooo....

When I did, I was all over the place..., plain shirts have never seemed so unique before!
American Vintage is OLD NEWS now (especially after Zara's copy-cuts) & it was about time I got excited by a newly discovered brand!
Homey, comfy, and thrifted -looking LOFT designed by... is the brand I am currently having the most cravings for!

... reading the designer's mission statement on the site, I got caught up by some words of hers!

"I may choose to live in the summer in the middle of December. Depending on my mood, I might want my mat colors in the spring and bright colors in the autumn or vice versa. For me beauty is self-evident not a fashion."

...although I hate stupid cliche, and reproducing famous quotes (...so pretentious) this one (although quite cheesy towards the end) made quite an impression.

Just took a glimpse of Zara's new collection! Already got myself 3 items, my shopaholism is back for good, & there are so many nice stuff in there I am thinking there's no reason to visit another store , or write outfit creditsanymore...!!!

Currently obsessed with "Sabrina the teenage Witch"! I managed to watch 2,5 seasons in a day, until I got delusional that my cat was actually talking, and its BLACK...imagine the confusion!

Besides the shopaholism, I got my impulse buying obsession back, when I realized Hondos Center (Greek beauty retail-store) imported LIP SMACKERS!

Can You Tell the Difference?

For whoever missed me, I AM BACK!
Not as excited as the previous sentence sounds, since my holidays are over and I am back to my daily routine, with 0 appetite to shop!
DAMN RIGHT, my shopping urge is gone, dunno for how long though, all I know is that I WENT to Zara, I SAW, I LEFT, ...just like a new-age Caesar!!!
ANYWAYS, this isn't exactly a fashion-post, since I am gonna narrate my extreme experience when battling the waves of the Greek sea...

I was going to spend my holidays, in Myconos, and get there by a boat,a big one...the traditional way!
Plans changed and I had to travel along with another 4 boys in a 10m dinghy, wearing Kenny's outfit to keep me from getting all wet!
Although the the air was in a 7 Beaufort force, the waves were enormous, and I was being continuously sprayed by sea water, all I could think was...
"God help my clothes not to end up at the bottom of the sea"
...quite reasonable I suppose, since we will eventually get rescued (no sharks in the Greek sea), and the boys didn't equip my suitcase with life jackets as they originally promised to convince me joining them!
The trip went well, we reached our destination 5 and a half hours later, and I would like to thank our precious Captain Stam, my beloved fluorescent raincoat, for keeping my new rocking Zara shirt dry, and for being randomly fashionable...!

Minus the cold and the wetness, it was just like an extended fun fair ride (with no safety insurance though...)

All day today I was surfing in and out of my blog (which is like a baby to me)!

Tonight I entered my account and realized I have no pictures...!!
DAMN IT what happened?
I have absoFUCKINGlutely no idea!!!
I've lately been using photobucket to upload images larger than the typical blogger ones!
My photobucket account was magically erased between 7.00 and 12.00 today at 10/7/2009!
I have already e-mailed the photobucket people, and I am waiting for a responce, YET I am quite sure I 've lost the images.
I promice I am gonna upload them again all one by one, starting from Monday!!!
Now I'll keep thinking several scenarios...that for example someone who really hates me or this blog hired a hacker to delete my photobucket account...!

If anyone knows something more, is willing to help retrieve my past account, or at least knows a more secure way to upload large images in blogger I will appreciate it if he/she will comment on this post any short of advice!!!

I always thought I have a thing for flamingos!
...I was probably wrong, my new IT animal is the one with the coolest permanent print on it.

ZEBRA!
The fact that this is the second zebra-related post (here's the first one) establishes the existence of a serious obsession of mine, that couldn't leave my wardrobe unaffected...!
So I can only guess that a shopaholic Zebra, with a thing for flowers designed this pattern for Zara, which was printed, later-on, on the skirt I bought from there some months ago!

To be honest there no zebra-print on the skirt, it's actually a typical leaf-flowery pattern with the exception of having black & white leafs instead of traditional green ones.
However it did inspire a zebra post (God I wrote the word Zebra like a ZILLION times in this post) and I can keep blabbering about it but it'll just be getting duller by the time and then, reasonably enough, you're gonna stop reading this blog...!

Nobody got struck by lighting, just saying...

I was wearing this outfit while watching Ice Age @ the movies(and illegally eating KFC...shhh!).
An invitation for drinks downtown took me out of my comfy havaianas & put me in my MJ mise/jellies.

Shopping is easy! I do it ALMOST everyday, and I enjoy my unhealthy habits!
SHOPPING FOR AN OCCASION though, can be extremely tricky, even for the most experienced shopper AKA, ME!
The occasion is not difficult to guess, entails white long dress, a cake with plastic people on it, and a sea of heels & stilettos!
Guessed already?
Yeap, I had a wedding to attend!
Most people just buy a dressy dress and they are off the hook!
For me it was a whole process as most of the times the way I am dressed defines my mood, and the vibes I am sending.
NO, I'm not crazy or anything I just mean it in terms of : sexy, romantic, fierce etc. & don't get me wrong but I can tell a lot by how people are dressed.
SO...to the point!
I spent many days reading piles of magazines (finding NOTHING), and an exhausting day at the Mall where I literally ruined a pair of shoes, narrowing my options down to 3 dresses!

Ok the similarity is striking (pattern wise) , and C. obviously had a point, BUT the designer, in her try to defend herself insulted the entire fashion blogger's community with no reason.
What a silly move!
C's blog isn't that famous yet, few Greek blogs are.
In Miss Consola's shoes, I would have tried to reduce attention on the matter.
She on the contrary did anything possible for the world to find out about the twin dresses!

The fact that I am attached to any childhood reminicent can't be hidden!

Toys, cartoons, bubble gum, ice creams even clothes that remind me what I used to be back in primary school, I am emotionally attached with, and always draw my attention (...along with quite an amount of my monthly income).

All these childhood stuff blended I am seeing, when I am checking out Murakami's

work!

That I worship him, I've already mentioned HERE, I've actually followed his work before he became LV-famous, and consequently: mass produced!

Back in the days when youtube was far from being conseived as an idea, I was browsing, like crazy, all over the web for KaiKai & Kiki's videos.

+ His flower/trademark was all over my room, back in the days...!

All this intro just to present you with his new LV campaign video "First Love" animated film with the girl from his past video "Superflat Monogram"(all grown-up now, 6 years after) leading.

Of course I am still not into LV bags and I consider them the prettiest way to claim your lack of imagination (especially with all those knock-offs in da hood), yet I couldn't but fall in love with the animated film!

What happens when fashion bloggers invade an exhibition?
-People stop checking out art, and the start checking wacky girls taking pictures of them and their shoes!

That's what happens!

Hitting a graffiti exhibition turned into extreme fun having, with all fellow fashion bloggers, and a weblebrity.
Amalucky AKA Amalia Agathou (Glamour Magazine) might not be a fashion blogger yet she drew all attention with her flashy pink maxi dress!

For the moment my blogging habbits go through a recess period. I blame it on the heat and I am hopping I will somehow regain my blog-appetite soon.

Ok, I know I 've been long gone & I can't be described as a responsible blogger's role model, but everyday stuff and a stay-over a friend's house kept me from fulfilling my blogging duties!!!
Now I am back for good though,AND with a double outfit....! goodie!
Are you aware of Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Hyde; they are the same person, in different versions (normal, evil).
There was this skirt I bought, the type I am obsessed with: mini-high waist.
I thought it was a typical skirt.
Little did I know!
The skirt end up having double personality: conservative/secretar-ish during the morning, and quirky and wild at nighttime.

I just realized that I live in a country where beachwear is a MUST...!
Maybe this isn't the case for other countries, but there's no way you wont hit the beach at least 20 times before summer ends, IF you live here...(or if you are a Hawaii resident...you effing lucky b*%#$rd...)!

My closet, in its summer version, suffers from beachwear overload.
Cut-offs, tunics, bags, swimwear....all kinds of stuff.

Ok, I must admit, I have too many Myconos-posts (here, here, here AND here), but I just can't help it!!!

Apart from loving any short of vacations, and vacation clothes, ...I seem to have a stash of outfit pictures that really fit the current weather, even if they are 2weeks old. So (!) here I am wearing this new garment, that layers itself.

*BUT* It was ultimately comfy! Air was flowing withing my clothes, and I was able to show all my dancing moves without annoying thoughts. What am I talking about? I could even climb an air mill if I wanted to!

Some years ago I remember myself arrogantly saying to my Art teacher "I hate shapes with corners, I prefer round stuff, they sooth me up!". A year later all my work was pure geometry (teacher kept reminding me what I've said...).

Turns out, shapes combined may give the loveliest results visually!

So,since fashion is a treatment for my eyes, and (even if it is the world's most cliche phrase...) it shares quite a few similarities with Art, I can't help but being seriously drawn by any short of geometric catwalk designs!
Calvi n Klein, Balenciaga, Jonathan Saunders, the Greeks: Mary Katrantzou and DElight, they all experimented with geometry, and we all worshiped the result!
At least I did, so much that I was fiercely looking for one such garment myself!

I discover my treasure within 100 other See by Chloe treasures, and after having tried on the entire section, I ended up with my first attraction!

Most of you know that Spanish it girl because of her edgy London-style and her Rapunzel-like hair.

I checked that nude outfit, after having bought my beige Badila dress, and I had this mental image.
Can't say I copy-pasted it exactly because her dress is ankle-long, mine is shorter.

Those are the jellies that conquered the world!

Plastic material can take every possible form, it's hard to be worn, and may be extremely gentle to the feet.

Who could have ever imagined, that a Barbie shoe would inspire the most brilliant idea for people to buy affordable designer footwear.
Marni, Marc Jacobs, See by Chloe, and Tory Burch, all of them launched a jelly line, including mostly ballerina-flats but sandals as well.

Melissa designs though can only be described as a plastic heaven, since as a market leader in this PVC industry, it provides hundreds of different designs in which I may drool all over for ages!

It's beyond the shadow of any doubt, that Art Athina was, is, and will be, my #1 arty event.
So many artists, so many different styles, nice stuff, funny stuff, even twisted stuff, all together in one exhibition. I felt, not even the slightest sign of boredom in there.

Most days in the Island sun was shinning bright! Last day was kinda moody.
Woke-up, wore my bathing suit, clothed in summery stuff, and then it hit me to open the window.
Turns out, I was wearing the most innapropriate outfit for the day.
I quickly changed into a more weather appropriate one.
Couldn't shut my feet in something other than sandals though!

Followed her advice and didn't post anything, till everybody's having their page posted!!!
Jealous as I am (bit proud as well) I present you, not my 15 minutes of fame, but my one page of it!!
In the mag's pic: denim's mine, top ain't mine! I was wearing nude-color shirt and I've had it changed cause it wouldn't stand-out in plain white background.
Can't say floral is my thing though!

FAUX DENIM? Did you know???

From personal experience, I can assure you it's listed #1 among my *most comfy* clothes!

Denim pattern, printed on soft legging material gives the false impression of wearing jeans but takes their stiffness away.

Nonetheless, denim's thick, this isnt, but it looks like it is...so its slimming effect is one more reason to go look for one.

Bought mine from Zara, very hesitatingly!Among others, it's perfect for travelling! Refined an othewise comfortable/boring outfit with funky old-tape necklace from Oysho.
Who knew I 'd find such treasure among knickers!

It's been a while since the last time I posted & I don't have the tinniest bit of regret, since I spent one more blissful weekend in Myconos, along with friends.

The programme included sunbathing, bathing, eating (lots and lots), and just up to the moment I was about to ensure myself that this was my shopping rehab, check out what I discovered in a shop by the sea...

The store was full of bathing suits, beach tunics, bags glasses...yet all I could see were those gladiators, and the shoes...oh the shoes! For a moment I though of grabbing the sandal-basket in the picture above, and run. I didn't. Then I thought of buying one pair, but again...one pair? unable how I was to point my favorite, a pair wouldn't do. Finally I decided to see it as an artwork which will be ruined if I remove one of its pieces and I didn't even ask what the price was...after all, I was in Luisa beach, what are the chances they were affordable??

Eurovision fuss healed my desperation till the next morning when I paid a visit to a to touristic shop selling flip flops exclusively.
I am not really a flip-flop person. Besides havaianas, I prefer foot-holding shoes.
I decided though to make an exception since those are so famous.
Anti-shopaholism God put his hand once more and the price of the ones I picked (the only ones I liked, in neon green) was 70,00 euros! 70,00 euros for something I don't quite like? for a souvenir? NO! I wouldn't do that to myself. I recently bought a pair of BCBG sandals (upcoming post) costing 89,00 euros, I wouldn't spend 70 on a pair of boring flip-flops. (proud of myself).
Meanwhile, June's Glamour is out! I already got it and although the article on Greek bloggers is great, I was in total shock when I saw my face in there.
Coming up with manyx2 island-outfit posts since I made sure (actually someone else did...*thanx*) I have a photo of each one.
